Free agent wide receiver Oronde Gadsden was charged on Monday with driving under the influence.
The 32-year-old Gadsden, whose license was already suspended, was pulled over early Monday morning after police noticed his vehicle swerving out of its lane and running over several lane markers. He was released on $3,000 bond hours later.
Gadsden, who spent the past six seasons with the Dolphins, re-signed with Miami last November and caught four passes for 48 yards in six games.
The Winston-Salem State product originally signed with Miami as a free agent in 1998 after spending time in the Arena Football League.
Gadsden has 227 receptions for 3,252 yards and 22 touchdowns in 74 career games with the Dolphins.
